Joaquim Filipe

Brief Bio
Joaquim B L Filipe is currently a Coordinator Professor of the School of Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (EST-Setúbal), Portugal. He got his Ph.D. at the School of Computing of the Staffordshire University, U.K, in 2000. His main areas of research involve Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent System theory and applications to different domains, with an emphasis on social issues in activity coordination, especially in organizational modeling and simulation, where he has been actively involved in several R&D projects, including national and international progr ms. He represented EST-Setúbal in several European projects. He has over 100 publications including papers in conferences and journals, edited books and conference proceedings. He started several conference series, sponsored by INSTICC and technically co-sponsored or in cooperation with major International Associations. Brief Bio
David Aveiro is an Invited Assistant Professor at the Exact Sciences and Engineering Centre of the University of Madeira in Portugal. His research interests include organizational engineering and organizational change. His teaching interests include organizational engineering, database management systems and decision support systems. He holds a MSc and a PhD in Computer Science and Information Systems Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico of the Technical University of Lisbon. Jan Dietz
Delft University of Technology

Brief Bio
Jan L.G. Dietz is emeritus full professor in Information Systems Design at Delft University of Technology, full professor in Enterprise Engineering at Delft University of Technology, and director of Sapio (www.sapio.nl). He holds a Master degree in Electrical Engineering and a Doctoral degree in Computer Science. He has published over 200 scientific and professional articles and books. His current research interests are in the emerging discipline of Enterprise Engineering, of which Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Ontology, and Enterprise Governance are the major pillars. Before h s academic career, he has practiced application software engineering for ten years in industry. Jan Dietz is the spiritual father of DEMO (Design & Engineering Methodology for Organizations), and honorary chairman of the Enterprise Engineering Institute (www.ee-institute.com). For the development of Enterprise Engineering, he chairs the international research network CIAO! (www.ciaonetwork.org).
